the man in black

In his song called, “The Man in Black,” Johnny Cash expressed that always wearing black would show that he’s an ally for people who didn’t have the things that he does. He grew up poor, so when he became rich and famous, he never forgot what it was like to not have much.

Students will take his idea and apply it to themselves by choosing a color to represent who they are and what they care about. What color will represent their values and identity?

Red = love, warmth / Orange = original, bright / Yellow = sunny, happy / Green = nature, gardens / Blue = sympathetic, calm / Purple = royalty, devotion / Black = solidarity, bold / Pink = softness, elegant
