hip hop dj

Students will love learning about the origins of hip hop culture in 1970s New York. We go over a story about the dance, art, fashion, and of course music that encompasses the culture and learn some names of those who started it. Then, students will create a DJ name of their own, and draw a self-portrait that allows them to express themselves. I gave them some ideas to start with:

DJ Square Pants, DJ Mac n Cheese, DJ Chicky Nuggy, DJ Sparkles, DJ Scribble Scrabble , DJ Pink, DJ Boom, DJ Unicorn, DJ Big Kid, DJ Jump, DJ Pumpkinhead, DJ Crunch, DJ Fizz, DJ Doom, DJ Wizard, DJ Pokemon, DJ Flash
